2018 Rap

Women’s Rights, Party Fights and violence fill the air,
White men show minorities
They truly do not care.

Each step up
Is two steps back,
To times that weren’t right.
A time when opportunity was great… if you were white.

Statues falling, names a calling
Torches, chants and death.
People fighting endlessly
Until their final breath.

Standing up for our beliefs
We’ve done it all before.
But this time moves so differently,
It’s rotten to the core.

The world perceives a weakened state,
A red and blue divide.
They could walk in and take it all
But haven’t even tried.

There’s no need to interfere
Or try to get involved
They sit and watch and wait it out,
To see if it’s resolved.

This fight within, it is a sin,
Embarrassing and wrong;
To say that we’ll make changes,
Then play the same old song.

We need to come together
As Americans once more,
We need to feel the hope, the love,
And stop internal war.

A wise man said, “The answer friend,”
“Is blowing in the wind.”
That wind of change is what will make
Our country great again.

It’s not the narcissism ,
It’s not the constant lies,
It IS the fact the stubborn base
Won’t open up their eyes.

We all have rights to our beliefs,
No ones right or wrong.
But we say that we will change
Then play the same old song.

This time round, please make it count,
Get off your ass and vote.
Turn off Fox and CNN,
Put down the damn remote.

Women and minorities
Fought so they’d be heard,
Now’s the time to raise your voice,
And make them feel your words.

Thirteen Hours

Shots ring out, people shout,
Chaos and despair;
A mother shields her baby boy,
As bullets fill the air.

Screams and cries, a person dies,
It’s horror in real time;
A shooter sprays the room with hate,
Another senseless crime.

Some will say that on this day,
A tragedy occurred;
They ask us for our thoughts and prayers,
But is our vision blurred?

Can’t we see a tragedy,
Needs more than candlelight?
Can’t we see it’s up to us,
To finally stand and fight?

Take back the country, nows the time,
We’ve let it go too long;
Take back the country, nows the time,
We’re bleeding and it’s wrong.

The mother dies, the baby cries,
The father is dead, too;
Many others also shot,
The blames on me and you.

In Columbine in ‘99,
We said that we would change;
Instead we did the same old thing,
We think we’re out of range.

But we’re not, the latest shot,
Is aimed at you and me;
“This can’t ever happen here,”
You’re wrong if you agree.

Take back the country, now’s the time,
It’s slipping from our grip;
Take back the country, now’s the time,
It’s more than giving lip.

On the next day and miles away,
Again the bullets fly;
Is it coincidental it’s another young white guy?

No it’s not, with every shot,
Comes hate and more divide;
Driven by our leadership,
The races will collide.

Be a man and lead the land,
The blood is in the air;
But you won’t, you never have,
You’ll spin what’s clearly there.

Take back the country, nows the time,
The people must rise up,
Take back the country, now it’s time,
The time is finally up.

45

What is it that drives you?
What’s inside your head?
How’d you fool the masses to become your sheep instead?

I shudder as I watch you,
Tooting your own horn;
They re-invented blowhards on the day that you were born.

I feel for your deficiencies,
They’re obvious to me;
I feel for those caught up in it and simply do not see.

Your rules are ever changing,
And are based upon your whim;
You use them and abuse them,
You’re a master at the spin.

“We’ll build a wall,” you promised, “and make the others pay.”
“We’ll make this country great again!” It’s all you ever say.

You’re a bully and a coward,
You bailed out from the war;
You’re the poorest form of leadership I’ve ever seen before.

Yet people seem to flock to you,
Like flies surrounding shit.
Aren’t you embarrassed simply by the thought of it?

You prey upon the people either on your side or not,
It’s a all about the mighty buck,
You’ve proven that a lot.

You surround yourself with yes men,
If not, you bust their ass;
You “grab em by the pussy,” but somehow we let that pass.

You cheated on your loving wife,
When she had your boy;
Not once but twice you did her wrong,
A moment you’d enjoy.

Then you bought their confidence,
Well, at least you tried;
Your fixer handled everything and now he’s getting fried.

God knows how deep the bullshit goes,
It changes day to day;
But as the dickless Senate votes,
You always get your way.

I’m not a snowflake or far left,
I only want what’s right;
I only want our Congress to put up a little fight.

A fight for true Americans,
Who know their right from wrong;
A fight for justice, liberty and Constitution strong.

A fight for soldiers blown to bits,
Trying to stand tall;
A fight for all humanity,
Not a fucking wall.

Someday I hope this all makes sense,
Someday our kids will see;
That your Presidential run has been a tragedy.

It’s demeaning to our Bill of Rights and made a Bill of Hate,
It brought a risk to liberty,
America is not great.

But I have faith that we’ll come back,
I’m confident we’ll rise;
Above this petty bullshit and the ever present lies.

On that day, you’ll float away,
And if the stars align;
You’ll spend your life, without a wife,
In prison, doing time.
